How to use Writing Checker

How scoring guidance works
Reports map to the four public Writing criteria: Task Response / Achievement, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range & Accuracy.
On the real exam, Task 2 carries more weight than Task 1 in the overall Writing band. Practise the 20/40 time split even when you only check one task here.
AI estimates are for practice planning. They are not official IELTS scores and can differ from a human examiner on any single script.
A practical feedback loop
Example: your Task 2 draft lands around band 6.0 with Task Response as the lowest criterion because the conclusion drifts from the introduction.
Rewrite only the thesis and conclusion so they match, keep vocabulary changes minimal, then re-check. Many candidates gain more from one focused rewrite than from starting a brand-new topic.
