1. Who we are
DailyEnglishPro ("we", "us") provides IELTS preparation tools at dailyenglishpro.com, including mock tests, practice packs, and AI writing/speaking feedback. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
For privacy questions, contact support@dailyenglishpro.com.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may process:
- Account data - email address, authentication identifiers, and profile fields linked to your login (including Google account details if you use Google sign-in).
- Billing data - subscription plan, period dates, and payment metadata processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Usage & progress - practice attempts, answers, scores, credit balances, and related product analytics.
- Content you submit - writing essays, speaking notes, and audio recordings you upload for AI feedback.
- Technical data - IP address, browser/device information, cookies or local storage needed for sessions and preferences.
3. How we use data
- Create and secure your account, and provide Study Hub features
- Score practice tests and generate AI Writing / Speaking reports
- Process subscriptions, credits, and customer support requests
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations
- Send transactional email (e.g. confirm signup, reset password, billing notices)
We do not sell your personal data. AI feedback is generated to help you prepare; it is not an official IELTS score from Cambridge or IDP/British Council.
4. Processors & subprocessors
We use trusted providers to operate the product, including:
- Supabase - authentication and database
- Stripe - payments and billing portal
- Cloudflare R2 - private storage for media such as speaking recordings
- DeepSeek and speech-to-text providers - AI grading / transcription
- Hosting / email infrastructure used to deliver the website and transactional mail
These providers process data on our instructions and under their own security and privacy terms.
5. Audio & AI content
If you record speaking answers, audio is stored privately and used to transcribe and grade your response. Transcripts may retain hesitations (for example "um" / "uh") because they are relevant to Fluency scoring. Do not upload sensitive personal information in essays or recordings that you do not want processed for feedback.
6. Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication sessions, locale preference, and core product function. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling them may prevent login or other features from working.
7. Retention
We keep account and attempt data while your account is active and as needed for billing, security, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account; some records (for example payment history) may be retained where required by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at the email above and we will respond within a reasonable period.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in multiple countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
